Warning the Ya-Ya Sisterhood of NYC are coming to your town...

Welcome!

Our First Ya-Ya Sisterhood vacation and what a mess it is already. And we didn’t even get started.

July 1, 2007 Rockaway

I need to back tract but before I get started let me fill you in on this past weekend. Lisa started the Ya-Ya weekend with a brain storm. While we were already committed to having basket ball jersey printed with our club name on it, Lisa took the idea a step further. She said that nic-names would be more appropriate for the backs of these Jerseys. So now we decided that not only did they have to rhyme in two words in a sing song pattern, but they had to start with the first letter in the first word a "B" the second word, first letter being a "W." After that, there was nothing said that day that wasn’t said in this sing song fashion. So the Ya-Ya names and numbers were voted on. Ann Mary became "Bitchie Witchie" # 13, Mary Ann wanted "Hotsie Totsie" this was voted out to keep in the B W format to "Betsy Wetzie" # 25 (very fitting if I don’t say so myself). Lisa came in with "Bonzie Wonzie" # 21, Lacqua came in with "Boogie Woogie" # 17 and last by not least Carleen came in with "Boozie Woozie" # 49. We laugh ourselves silly for the rest of the day and was sorry that "Boozie Woozie" wasn’t there to share in the shenanigans.

Joey with "Bitchie Witchie"

When the fabulous, Bitchie Witchie came up with the idea of this trip to Mexico for a mere three hundred and change for 5 days we all agreed that it sounded good. Unbeknownst to us, did we know that she received this great deal over a faxed e-mail. Before we got to see it, the next thing we know is that the "Ya-Ya Sisterhood of NYC" is booked in Mexico. What she actually did was book the air line tickets before she confirmed the rooms. To make a long story short, we realized that the fax was one of those "come on scams" where they promise one thing and then "fuck you over." So none of us can complain that we didn’t get F–k on our first Ya-Ya Vacation. After hyperventilating for a complete day, Boogie Woogie had to make an emergency visit at Bitchie Witchie's apartment with a valium to calm her down and then they had to break the news to Betsy Wetsy.  Needless to say, Betsy Wetsy almost piss her pants to think that she was at the other end of a scam. As Aunt Elaine would say, "Only Jesus Christ on the Cross would know how this happebn..." Meanwhile, we hired a lawyer on the recommendations of Joey, to handled the first charge on Bitchie Witchie’s charge card.  At this point the Sisterhood without consulting Boozie Woozie decided to book with Liberty and get this show on the road. Bitchie Witchie better stay on top of this lawyer. Joey came to Bitchie Witchie rescue with a new Rolex to calm her down. How sweet is that? You just got to love the guy.

Here we are . . . just weeks from ... yeah, I don't even know what to write.  All I know is Expect the unexpected!  This whole trip was unexpected.  Even to Ann Mary... who booked it twice!  Mommy stocked up on all the vitamins, sun block, and I'm sure she filled her ipod with enough show tunes to run the Mexicans out of Mexico.  ...then we can say we discovered it!  Just a little bit longer and I'll make it through this "Milk Day."  I have to make it till this vacation.  I'll be 28, unmarried, and away with you know who.  Thank God for all inclusives.  Mexico should be dry by the time we get back.  Off I go to fight the hunger....Boogie Woogie
